Czech towns list historic palaces and fortified house for sale

The city of Hradec Králové is offering three historic buildings in its centre – Cejp’s palace and two adjoining houses on Tomkova and Dlouha streets – for sale. The minimum asking price is about 78 million CZK, with the palace alone valued at no less than 30 million CZK and the pair of houses at roughly 48 million CZK. Only a handful of potential buyers have shown interest, and the municipality is awaiting offers while considering options for long‑term leasing or renovation under strict heritage supervision.

In the nearby town of Kouřim, a family house that is directly connected to a medieval fortification and bastion has been put on the market. The unique combination of residential space and historic fortifications makes the property stand out, though its price has not been disclosed. Both sales highlight the challenges of finding investors willing to fund the substantial restoration work required for protected historic structures.
