Czech towns Tábor and Morkovice host triathlon festivals with traffic restrictions

Tábor will hold a triathlon festival on Sunday, 12 July, with the city closing sections of streets II/123 and III/00346 and rerouting traffic. Temporary signs and detours affect streets such as Soví, Stránského, Blanická, U Kovárny and others; several parking spots will be blocked and public‑transport stops on lines 50, 51 and 53 will be skipped. The cycling leg starts at the Pod Sladovnou sports ground and follows a circuit through Šafaříkova, Jeronýmova and surrounding streets, while the running leg follows adjacent sidewalks.

In Morkovice, the 28th "Morkovský chlap" triathlon takes place on Sunday, 11 July, starting at 9:10 a.m. at the local swimming pool. The event features five men’s categories, three women’s, junior divisions and three‑person relays. Entry fees are CZK 600 for seniors, CZK 400 for juniors and CZK 900 for relays; about 200 athletes are expected. The swimming segment uses the pool, the bike course runs a loop via Slížany, Troubky, Honětice and Litenčice, and the run follows an asphalt route between Morkovice and Počenice.
