Czech travelers and cyclists utilize shared mobility in Europe and Prague

Czech travelers are increasingly utilizing shared mobility services like Lime while abroad. Data shows that London, Berlin, and Paris are the most frequent destinations for Czech users of shared bikes and scooters. In these top European cities, users completed nearly 20,000 trips, covering almost 50,000 kilometers, with an average trip duration of approximately 13 minutes and a distance of 2.6 kilometers.

In Prague, cycling remains a popular mode of transport, with nearly half of the population cycling at least once a month. However, recent data from bike counters indicates a decline in ridership on certain monitored paths, such as the Atletická route and the Rokytka path, where counts dropped by 60 percent. Experts suggest this decline may be due to construction-related detours rather than a loss of interest, noting that current counter data can be unreliable due to technical issues like low battery or route closures.
