Czech triathlon events see high participation and record numbers
Recent triathlon competitions in the Czech Republic have seen significant participation and competitive results. In the 32nd edition of the Litomyšl triathlon, organized by SBR - Tri Team Litomyšl, Michal Procházka secured victory with a finishing time of 2:08 hours. The race featured a course consisting of a swim, 45 km cycling, and a 10 km run. Kateřina Obstová was the top female competitor, finishing in 2:29 hours.
Meanwhile, the 35th anniversary of the Dřevěný muž triathlon in Lukách nad Jihlavou set a new participation record with 257 athletes, including 215 individual competitors and 42 relay participants. The event introduced a shorter Olympic distance course to accommodate more athletes. Matyáš Večera defended his title in the sprint category, improving his previous year's time. Due to the high turnout, organizers noted that the event reached capacity limits, particularly at the transition area between cycling and running.
