Czech TV networks unveil new series and revive SuperStar competition

Apple TV announced several upcoming series at San Diego Comic‑Con. A fourth season of the comedy Ted Lasso will debut on 5 August 2026, starring Jason Sudeikis. A ten‑episode adaptation of William Gibson’s cyber‑punk novel Neuromancer is slated for 22 January 2027, and a second season of the sci‑fi thriller Dark Matter will launch on 28 August 2026, accompanied by an official podcast. Apple TV also revealed the film Matchbox The Movie, set for a worldwide premiere on 9 October 2026.

Czech commercial broadcaster TV Nova confirmed that after a five‑year break it will bring back the singing competition Czech‑Slovak SuperStar on 2 September 2026. The revived show will feature a new judging panel – Pavol Habera, Ewa Farna, Jakub Prachař and Calin – and will be hosted by Leoš Mareš. The programme previously attracted more than 14.5 million viewers across its earlier seasons.
