Czech universities host major public and alumni events

Czech universities are hosting major public and alumni events. In Plzeň, the University of West Bohemia (ZČU) held its twentieth annual event, rebranded as ‘Day with the University of West Bohemia’. The celebration featured forty scientific topics from nine faculties, showcasing student formula racing, robotics, and smart clothing to the public at Republic Square.

In Olomouc, Palacký University (UP) organized a large-scale alumni reunion, the first of its kind in a decade. The program includes art exhibitions, faculty tours, and cultural performances, coinciding with the Days of European Heritage. The event marks the 80th anniversary of the university’s post-war restoration and the 40th anniversary of its University of the Third Age.
