Czech women drive vacation planning, spending more time and making most bookings

A recent analysis of travel data shows that women in the Czech Republic dominate vacation planning. According to the global Skyscanner survey, women devote 12 hours on average to trip preparation, about 28 percent more than men’s 9.4 hours, and they compare offers and read reviews more extensively. A separate study by travel agency Bluestyle found that women accounted for over 60 percent of all holiday bookings in 2025. Their priorities include cultural experiences, comfort and services, and they represent the majority of solo female travelers. Psychologists note that this planning role adds mental load, as women often coordinate schedules, budgets and family needs, turning vacations into extensions of everyday responsibilities.

In the Czech market, a poll by Invia revealed that six out of ten respondents would use artificial intelligence to help plan trips, with AI serving as a source of inspiration, offer search and itinerary building. Price, safety and destination attractiveness remain the top criteria for Czech travelers, with Greece, Turkey and Egypt retaining popularity, while Malta saw the fastest growth in summer bookings.

These findings highlight the central role of women in shaping travel demand and suggest that travel providers should tailor services and marketing to this primary decision‑making group.
