Czechia social norms and the legal boundaries of public nudity

Czechia maintains a relatively relaxed attitude toward nudity in specific settings, such as saunas and certain pools, though legal and social boundaries exist. While swimming without a swimsuit was illegal in Czechoslovakia until 1983, modern society is considered much more tolerant.

However, recent incidents in Boskovice have highlighted the limits of these norms. A 58-year-old woman was reported to the police after appearing naked in a park and later appearing topless in a public square during a traditional fair. Such incidents prompt discussions among legal experts and officials regarding the distinction between casual nudity in designated areas and public indecency.
