Czocha Castle hosts three‑day “School of Magic” festival in August

Czocha Castle in southwestern Poland will transform its courtyards and chambers into a fantasy setting for the annual “Czarodziejem być – Szkoła Magii” (School of Magic) festival from 14 to 16 August. The event, organized by the castle’s director Jarosław Kuczyński, features wizard duels, alchemy workshops, illusion shows, pyrotechnic displays, and themed performances that echo the world of Harry Potter. Visitors can explore magical artefacts, meet owls, and take part in interactive workshops aimed at both children and adults.

The festival coincides with the Slavic harvest goddess Mokosz’s day, adding a cultural layer to the celebration. Organisers describe the three‑day program as an immersive journey into imagination, with stages set among the medieval walls, a wine cellar turned laboratory, and a portrait room filled with animated figures.
