Częstochowa adds two new ambulances to improve emergency care

On 29 July, the city of Częstochowa unveiled two new emergency‑medical vehicles at Plac Biegańskiego. The fleet expansion, financed largely through the local Citizens' Budget, includes a large Type C ambulance for life‑saving medical interventions and a fully electric Type A2 Mercedes e‑Vito ambulance for sanitary transport.

City officials highlighted the expected benefits: faster response times, enhanced safety for patients, and better working conditions for rescue teams. Grażyna Stramska‑Świerczyńska, head of the municipal Health Department, and acting mayor Zdzisław Wolski described the purchases as essential upgrades. Director Marian Nowak detailed the C‑type ambulance’s specialised equipment, while paramedic Tomasz Musik called the acquisition a “necessary purchase for residents”. The electric ambulance, equipped with a cardiac chair and an 85 kW motor, underscores an ecological shift. Total spending amounted to roughly 680 000 zł from the Citizens' Budget, with the larger vehicle costing about 580 000 zł.
