Łódź Agricultural Advisory Center receives 1.6 million PLN for precision farming
The Łódź Agricultural Advisory Center (ŁODR) in Bratoszewicach has acquired modern agricultural machinery and digital equipment through a nearly 1.6 million PLN subsidy from the National Recovery Plan. The investment is part of the ‘Agriculture 4.0’ project, aimed at demonstrating the cost-saving benefits of precision farming to local farmers.
The new equipment includes a Kubota M6 tractor, a mounted sprayer, a rotary harrow with a pneumatic seeder, a fertilizer spreader, and a precision corn seeder. To create a complete digital ecosystem, the center also integrated navigation systems, yield mapping tools, a Metos weather station, a pest monitoring device, and farm management software.
According to ŁODR Director Józef Kopciuch, the goal is to ensure these machines work as an integrated system. Data from soil samples, yield maps, and management systems can be used to create application maps, allowing for highly customized fertilization and sowing processes.
