Łódź and Poznań introduce new paid parking zones

In Łódź, parking meters were installed on the renovated section of ul. Tymienieckiego between ul. Sienkiewicza and ul. Kilińskiego. From Monday, 8 June, parking on this street became payable, with an annual resident subscription of 365 zł. The work follows the extension of the city’s Strefa Płatnego Parkowania (paid‑parking zone) to additional central streets last year.

In Poznań, the municipal road authority started preparations for a new paid‑parking zone in the Ogrody district. Beginning 10 June, streets such as Wilkońskich, Nałkowskiej, Niemcewicza and Kościelskiego are being re‑marked for parallel parking. Drivers who fail to comply may face fines, towing charges of 680 zł, and daily storage fees of 51 zł. The zone is scheduled to become operational on 2 November, with further street work planned through June, July and August.
