Łódź infrastructure projects modernize Bałuty roads and transit

Major infrastructure modernization projects are underway in the Bałuty district of Łódź, focusing on road surfaces, underground networks, and public transport accessibility.

On Pojezierska Street, work is currently being conducted on the first section between al. Włókniarzy and ul. Hipoteczna. The project involves replacing water mains and reconstructing the road surface, sidewalks, and parking bays. Future phases will include the second section from ul. Hipoteczna to ul. Zgierska. The modernization will also introduce new bus stops with raised platforms and the area's first dedicated bicycle infrastructure.

Additionally, construction on Kniaziewicza Street, a key access route to the Biegański Hospital, is nearing completion. This project included replacing water and underground utilities, rebuilding the road and sidewalks, and renovating the hospital entrance. As a result, bus line 99 has resumed service on the section between ul. Zgierska and ul. Kalinowa. Related works on Kalinowa Street and Biegańskiego Street are also progressing to improve local connectivity.
