D. K. Shivakumar accuses BJP of involvement in KPSC scam
Karnataka Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar has accused the BJP of being responsible for the KPSC scam, alleging that the opposition is attempting to shift the blame onto the current government. Speaking at a dialogue session with graduates in Hubballi, Shivakumar emphasized that the government aims to establish a fair examination system where jobs are awarded based on merit, free from financial influence or pressure.
Regarding the KPSC investigation, the Chief Minister stated that the government has reviewed reports following complaints to the Governor and is cooperating with investigations to ensure the truth is revealed. He also addressed the upcoming graduates' constituency election, advocating for Congress candidate Mohan Limbikai. Shivakumar noted that Limbikai was selected following a survey and party discussions.
Additionally, the Chief Minister criticized the BJP's candidate selection process for the Legislative Council election, suggesting the opposition's candidate was chosen merely to participate rather than to win. He also raised concerns regarding the potential deletion of thousands of names from voter lists in certain constituencies, vowing that the cabinet would fight to protect voters' rights.
