Łódź and Lublin launch major urban and retail renovation projects
Ingka Centres will redevelop the Port Łódź shopping centre, expanding the leasable area to 102,466 sq m and adding a larger food court, winter garden, green patio and sustainability measures such as a 10 % CO₂‑reduction target. Construction is slated for Q1 2027 to Q2 2028.
In the city of Łódź, the Literacka street overhaul will replace the road surface, widen sidewalks, modify parking from 291 to 252 spaces, add new fire‑lane access and improve visibility at pedestrian crossings. Tree planting and a new link to gen. Maczka street are planned, with main works ending October 2026 and further phases through 2027.
Separate Łódź projects include the refurbishment of Wysoka, Złota and Dobra streets in the city centre, upgrading pavement, pedestrian‑bicycle infrastructure and parking, and adding green areas to support local residents.
In Lublin, the Kraśnicka‑Głęboka‑Nałęczowska intersection will undergo a five‑week reconstruction, temporarily closing lanes and rerouting dozens of bus lines. The work aims to improve road surface, underground utilities and overall traffic safety.
