Łódź municipal housing project nears completion in Bałuty

Construction of a new municipal apartment building at Młynarska 20 in the Bałuty district of Łódź is nearing completion. The five-story building will feature 28 apartments, ranging from two to three rooms with areas between 25 and 70 square meters. The units are designed to accommodate diverse needs, including larger spaces for multi-generational families and a residence specifically adapted for people with disabilities.

Work is currently focused on interior finishing and connecting utilities, including water, sewage, heating, and electricity. To reduce living costs for residents, the building will be equipped with photovoltaic panels on the roof to provide free electricity for common areas such as hallways, elevators, and basements. Additional amenities include electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle racks, and parking spaces.

The total construction cost is 12 million PLN, supported by a 10 million PLN subsidy from the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) Supplement Fund. The first residents are expected to move in by the end of 2026.
