Łódź Regional Book Awards Honor Authors of Top Publications
At a ceremony in the Wojewódzka Biblioteka Publiczna in Łódź, the 34th annual Golden Exlibris and Superekslibris awards were presented to authors of books about the Łódź region.
The prize for Best Book about Łódź went to "Dom Mody Telimena: co nosiły Polki" by Katarzyna Jasiołek (Marginesy). The Best Book about Ziemia Łódzka award was given to "Zduńska Wola: miasto pełne historii" edited by Kamila Klauzińska and Tomasz Polkowski (Museum of History of Zduńska Wola). The Best Album about Łódź was the photography collection "Chris Niedenthal fotografuje Łódź" edited by Marzena Bomanowska (Museum of the City of Łódź). The Best Novel about Łódź and Ziemia Łódzka was awarded to "Krainy końca" by Tomasz Włodkowski. A Special Jury Prize went to Katarzyna Kielecka for the novel "Niewidzialna dziewczyna".
Superekslibris laureates for overall contribution included Publishing House Literatura, the University of Łódź Publishing House, Wiesław Dworniak, Marcin Łukasz Majewski and the Society of Friends of Uniejów. No award was given in the category of Best Album about Ziemia Łódzka.
