Speedway Grand Prix Łódź sees tight leaderboard as Kurtz ties Zmarzlik, Lambert leads

The Speedway Grand Prix round was held for the first time at the Moto Arena in Łódź, drawing a large crowd and marking the 45th Polish venue to host the elite series. Robert Lambert of Great Britain won the final, securing the gold placard and moving into close contention for the world title.

Patryk Dudek finished second, delivering a strong performance that earned him a podium place and his first final appearance of the season. Australian rider Brady Kurtz and Polish champion Bartosz Zmarzlik each scored 109 points, tying for second in the overall standings, while Lambert sits just eight points behind with 101. The tight points race was further highlighted by Zmarzlik’s candid comments about a difficult weekend and his loss of the leader’s gold plaque.

Weather disruptions forced the cancellation of qualifying, but the track was quickly prepared and the event proceeded as scheduled on 1 August. The next Grand Prix round is set for Riga on 8 August, keeping the championship battle intense.
