Łódź to host 49th European Taizé Youth Meeting in 2026

Registration has officially opened for the 49th European Taizé Youth Meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Łódź, Poland, from December 28, 2026, to January 1, 2027. The event aims to bring together thousands of young Europeans, aged 18 to 35, to pray for peace and build relationships across borders.

Preparations are currently underway in Łódź, led by members of the Taizé Community and local volunteers. Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, the Archbishop of Łódź and host of the meeting, noted that the early start to registration is intended to help the city and local parishes adequately prepare accommodation, food, transport, and meeting spaces.

The program will feature daily prayers held in local parishes, major churches, and evening gatherings at the Atlas Arena. In addition to prayer, the event will include workshops and conferences designed to foster connection through silence, simple chants, and listening to the Word of God.
