Łódź to host record-breaking youth handball Anilana Cup

The second edition of the Superpuchar Anilana Cup will take place in Łódź from 27 – 29 August 2026. About 1 650 young players from 110 teams—including three squads from Lithuania—will compete on nine courts across seven sports halls. The tournament is part of the Polish Handball Super Cup and is billed as the largest youth handball event in the country.

Adam Wieczorek, vice‑president of Łódź, said the event offers a major opportunity to promote handball among children and local residents. Regional Marshal Joanna Skrzydlewska highlighted recent successes of Łódź’s youth handball programs and expressed enthusiasm about the city’s partnership with the tournament organizers. Awards will be presented to the top teams and standout players in each age category.
