D2F championship faces uncertainty ahead of season start
The upcoming D2F championship season faces significant uncertainty as several French clubs await administrative decisions regarding their eligibility. One week before the scheduled start, the final composition of the league remains unknown.
Vaulx-en-Velin, which had initially been accepted for D2F, has been relegated after the CNCG refused its application due to a mid-season coaching change that failed to meet required conditions. The club has filed an appeal. Meanwhile, Noisy-le-Grand and Celles-sur-Belle are still awaiting outcomes from procedures currently before the CNOSF, leaving their status between D2F and Nationale 1 uncertain.
In contrast, Chambéry has had its dossier validated by the CNCG for a potential repêchage and is currently on standby. With 14 clubs confirmed for a 16-team pool, the coming days are expected to be decisive for the final league lineup.
