D4vd's Unreleased Track Pops Up on Spotify During Murder Case

A song titled “Marcescence,” running about two minutes and forty seconds, briefly appeared on singer D4vd’s Spotify page before being removed after roughly eight hours. The track was visible but unplayable, accompanied by a photo of the artist, David Burke, taking a mirror selfie.

Burke, known professionally as D4vd, remains incarcerated awaiting a preliminary hearing set for July 21 on capital murder charges in the death of 14‑year‑old Celeste Rivas Hernández. He has pleaded not guilty to the murder and additional charges of lewd acts with a minor and body mutilation. The sudden appearance of the track has sparked speculation that it may be an unreleased song, but its purpose remains unclear.
