Da Lat authorities assist travelers with hotel refunds after flight delay

Local authorities in Da Lat have intervened to assist travelers affected by a technical failure on VASCO flight VN8020, which was scheduled to fly from Can Tho to Da Lat on August 28. After multiple delays and an eventual decision to postpone the flight to the following day, many passengers faced the loss of non-refundable hotel deposits.

To resolve the issue, the Xuan Huong Ward People's Committee coordinated with local hotels and homestays to facilitate refunds or rescheduling. Several accommodation providers agreed to return 100% of deposits or allow guests to change their booking dates without additional fees. This initiative aimed to balance the interests of both businesses and travelers during an unforeseen force majeure event.
