Da Lat Implements New Traffic Restrictions for Large Vehicles from August 1
From 1 August, Da Lat, Vietnam, will tighten traffic rules in its city centre. Vehicles with more than 29 seats (excluding buses) are prohibited on several streets, including Hai Bà Trưng near La Sơn Phu Tử, and are barred from turning at the Phan Đình Phùng‑Tản Đà junction or making a right turn from Tản Đà onto Phan Đình Phùng. The ban also applies to a specific segment of Bùi Thị Xuân between Lý Tự Trọng and the university round‑about during 19:00‑21:00.
The city also restricts trucks over 1.5 tonnes during peak periods (06:00‑08:00, 10:00‑12:00, 16:00‑18:00) on Ngô Quyền‑Hai Bà Trưng, La Sơn Phu Tử‑Hai Bà Trưng, Ba Tháng Hai‑Trần Phú and Đặng Thùy Trâm‑Hoàng Văn Thụ roads. The measures aim to ease congestion on narrow streets, improve flow for locals and tourists, and reduce traffic jams during high‑traffic times such as weekends and the tourist season.
