Da Nang and Bangkok lead Vietnamese travel searches

According to Agoda’s 2026 Travel Outlook Report, Vietnamese travelers are showing a strong preference for coastal destinations and Asian urban hubs for their summer and National Day holiday travel.

Domestically, coastal cities dominate searches. Da Nang ranks as the most searched destination, followed by Nha Trang, Da Lat, Vung Tau, and Ho Chi Minh City. The high interest in seaside locations like Da Nang and Nha Trang suggests a preference for beach-focused holidays, though urban centers remain popular for culture and cuisine.

For international travel, Bangkok is the most searched destination, followed by Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo, and Bali. There is a noted increase in searches for Bangkok, indicating a growing interest in urban Asian destinations. Food remains a significant motivator, with 35% of Vietnamese travelers citing culinary experiences as a key reason for their trips.
