Da Nang and Quang Ngai plan East-West Economic Corridor 2

Authorities in Da Nang and Quang Ngai provinces are discussing a development project for the Chu Lai - Dung Quat - Nam Giang - Bo Y - East-West Economic Corridor 2 for the 2026-2030 period, with a vision extending to 2045.

Developed with consultancy from the Ministry of Finance, the plan aims to shift from simple infrastructure connectivity to a model focused on functional, enterprise, value chain, data, and institutional integration. Under this framework, Chu Lai and Dung Quat will serve as industrial and logistics hubs, while Da Nang will act as a center for services, technology, finance, and innovation. The Nam Giang - Bo Y and East-West Economic Corridor 2 sectors will focus on market connectivity.

The development is organized into two complementary axes: a North-South axis connecting urban and industrial chains from Da Nang through Quang Ngai, and an East-West axis linking seaports and logistics centers to international border gates and regional markets.
