Da Nang approves plan to rearrange commune-level administrative units

The Da Nang City Party Committee has officially approved a draft plan to rearrange commune-level administrative units across the city. This decision was formalized through Resolution No. 20, signed by City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang.

The restructuring aims to meet established criteria regarding population scale and natural land area. Officials stated that the reorganization is a major policy intended to create new development spaces, optimize resource exploitation, and stimulate socio-economic growth within the city.

Da Nang currently manages 94 commune-level administrative units. Following this approval, the City People's Committee has been tasked with refining the plan based on feedback from committee members and proceeding with the necessary legal procedures. Local authorities and organizations have also been directed to conduct public consultation to ensure consensus among officials and residents.
