Da Nang businesswoman detained over 200 billion‑dong rubber latex tax evasion

Da Nang police have detained Hoang Thi Ly, a 42‑year‑old resident of Hiệp Đức ward, to investigate suspected tax evasion.

The investigation shows that since 2020 she bought rubber latex in the Phước Trà and Hiệp Đức communes, resold it and generated roughly 200 billion VND in revenue. She did not register a business, failed to declare her income and did not pay taxes, resulting in a loss of more than 2.45 billion VND to the state budget.

The Economic Crime Police Department has charged her under clause 3 of Article 200 of the Criminal Code and ordered a three‑month provisional detention while the case is broadened to identify any additional individuals or organisations involved.
