Da Nang court reviews murder trial of delivery driver death

A court in Da Nang has ordered a supplementary investigation into a case involving the death of a delivery driver following a dispute over a 375,000 VND order. Three defendants—Tran Hoang Thien, Nguyen Thanh Tung, and Tran Van Minh Toan—were originally charged with murder under Clause 2 of Article 123 of the Penal Code.

The incident occurred in January 2025 after a disagreement regarding a late payment and subsequent messages sent by the driver. Following a confrontation at a residence, the defendants allegedly assaulted the victim multiple times. The court is currently reviewing whether the charges should be adjusted under different provisions of the Penal Code.
