Da Nang hosts 2026 Vietnam-Korea Festival

The 2026 Vietnam-Korea Festival officially opened at East Sea Park in Da Nang on August 7. This annual event serves to strengthen people-to-people exchanges and promote cooperation between Da Nang and various South Korean provinces and partners.

This year's festival features an expanded scale with participation from several South Korean localities, including Daegu, Pyeongtaek, Yongin, Osan, Gwangyang, Yeongam, and Gurye. The opening ceremony showcased a musical dialogue between traditional Vietnamese instruments, such as the đàn bầu and đàn tranh, and South Korean instruments like the Gayageum and Taepyeongso.

Da Nang Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that the city aims to build a favorable investment environment and expand international cooperation. South Korean Consul General Han Jung-il noted that the festival's musical, culinary, and traditional cultural activities serve as a bridge to bring the two nations closer together.
