Da Nang launches international photography contest

Da Nang has launched a photography competition titled ‘Da Nang from an International Perspective’ to showcase the city’s heritage, nature, urban life, and cultural integration through a global lens. The initiative, proposed by the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, aims to create an exchange space between the city and the international community.

Running from August 28 until the end of November 2026, the contest is open to Vietnamese citizens and foreigners, including professional and amateur photographers, journalists, and international tourists. Submissions will focus on four main themes: Da Nang as a destination for heritage and nature, city life, cultural intersection and international integration, and new perspectives on the city as a livable space.

Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, stated that the competition seeks to promote friendship and strengthen people-to-people diplomacy. Outstanding works will be exhibited and selected for a photo book titled ‘Da Nang - Telling the World,’ which will serve as a tool for tourism promotion, investment attraction, and foreign communications.
