Da Nang Police seek victims in vehicle fraud investigation

The Da Nang City Police Investigation Agency has issued a public notice requesting victims of a fraudulent scheme to come forward. The investigation concerns Vo Thien Thanh, born in 2009 and residing in Quang Phu Ward, Da Nang, who is accused of property appropriation through fraud.

According to investigators, Thanh allegedly posted advertisements on social media for cheap vehicles without proper documentation. To gain trust, the suspect reportedly impersonated a woman and directed potential buyers to communicate via Zalo. After negotiating prices, the suspect required upfront payments to specific bank accounts at MBBank and Sacombank.

Once payments were received, the suspect allegedly failed to deliver the vehicles and cut off all communication to use the funds for personal expenses. Authorities have requested that anyone who has transferred money to the specified accounts or been victimized by similar tactics contact the Da Nang City Police before November 9, 2026.
