Da Nang ranks 6th in Asia for repeat visitor rates

Da Nang, a coastal city in Vietnam, has risen to 6th place in Asia for the highest rate of repeat visitors, according to the Agoda Repeat Visitor Ranking 2026. Based on booking data from the first half of the year, the city climbed two spots from its 8th-place ranking in 2025, surpassing destinations such as Taipei and Kuala Lumpur.

Tokyo, Japan, holds the top position, followed by Bangkok, Thailand. The top five is completed by Bali, Indonesia; Seoul, South Korea; and Osaka, Japan. Da Nang follows immediately after Osaka in the rankings.

Travel experts from Agoda suggest a shift in travel trends, noting that travelers are increasingly seeking destinations that offer high-quality experiences worth returning to, rather than simply visiting as many new locations as possible. Da Nang’s success is attributed to its diverse attractions, including beaches, mountains, urban landscapes, and landmarks such as Ba Na Hills, Son Tra Peninsula, and My Khe Beach.
