Da Nang ranks second hottest Asian beach destination for 2026 summer
Lonely Planet’s list of the most attractive summer destinations in Asia for 2026 places Vietnam’s Da Nang in second place, behind Busan, South Korea, and ahead of many well‑known regional spots. The city is promoted for outdoor‑focused travellers, offering beaches such as My Khe and Non Nước, nearby attractions like Ngũ Hành Sơn, Sơn Trà peninsula, the Hàn River bridges and Cham‑cultural sites.
Traveloka data shows Da Nang and Phú Quốc as the most searched accommodation destinations on the platform. Searches for stays in Ngũ Hành Sơn rose 76 % in April‑May compared with January‑February, while Hoi An’s Old Town and Sơn Trà saw increases of 52 % and 45 % respectively, indicating tourists are extending trips to explore surrounding areas. The city’s lively summer programme – including the International Fireworks Festival and the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (June 28 – July 4) – is credited with drawing longer visitor stays and sustaining its high ranking.
