Da Nang drives economic growth through green agriculture and urban development

Da Nang is experiencing diverse economic growth driven by agricultural innovation, forest-based industries, and real estate development. The city is promoting a green, circular garden economy that integrates crop cultivation with livestock, medicinal plants, and tourism services. In areas like Tien Phuoc, garden economies have contributed significantly to local production value, with specialized products like pepper receiving geographical indications to expand market reach.

In the mountainous western regions, there is a push to unlock the economic potential of forest zones through medicinal plant cultivation and ecotourism. While infrastructure challenges persist in remote areas, initiatives involving medicinal plant cooperatives aim to transition from simple production to high-value-added market models.

Simultaneously, Da Nang’s rapid economic expansion—highlighted by a 9.52% increase in GRDP in the first half of the year—is driving demand for high-quality living spaces. This growth is supported by a surge in tourism, with international arrivals increasing by 28.7%. Integrated urban models like Capital Square are emerging to meet the needs of professionals and investors by connecting residential, commercial, and luxury amenities near the city’s central administrative and tourism hubs.
