DAAK members complete search and rescue instructor training

Members of the Natural Disaster Search and Rescue Association (DAAK) have completed an instructor training course for search and rescue in rubble. The program was organized by Ankara AFAD.

Three DAAK members—Musa Oytun, Mehmet Bektaş, and Cevdet Çağlar—earned instructor certificates. This marks the first time members from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have participated in this specific training. Musa Oytun finished the course in first place among 36 trainees. The association intends to use these new instructors to train volunteers and new team members to improve disaster preparedness and rescue capacity within the TRNC.
