Paris Sausage Walk brings thousands of dachshunds to Champs-Élysées

Thousands of dachshunds and their owners participated in the seventh annual Paris Sausage Walk, taking over the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The event, which coincided with World Animal Day and Paris Fashion Week, saw participants march approximately 1.4 kilometers along the iconic avenue.

Many participants dressed their dogs in various costumes, ranging from striped shirts and berets to cowboy outfits. Beyond the spectacle, the event served a charitable purpose by raising funds for Teckels Sans Doux Foyer, an animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for abandoned or mistreated dachshunds.

The parade has grown from a small local walk into a significant international event, attracting participants from across Europe to the French capital.
