Dacia Duster prototype achieves high efficiency with renewable fuel
An experimental Dacia Duster has demonstrated high fuel efficiency during tests in Spain, recording consumption of less than 3.3 liters per 100 kilometers. The vehicle serves as a mobile laboratory to test the combination of the Horse H12 hybrid engine and Nexa 95, a renewable gasoline produced from organic residues by Repsol.
The project aims to explore whether improving internal combustion engine efficiency and utilizing non-fossil fuels can significantly reduce CO2 emissions, potentially offering an alternative path to full electrification. While the results are promising, the prototype is not currently intended for mass production, and the availability of the renewable fuel remains highly limited.
