Dacia Duster tops July 2026 SUV registrations in Romania

In July 2026, the Dacia Duster was the most registered SUV in Romania with 725 units, followed by the Dacia Bigster at 289 units. BYD’s Seal U placed third with 240 registrations, while Toyota RAV4 and Hyundai Tucson recorded 237 and 175 units respectively. The top‑ten list also includes Suzuki Vitara, Ford Kuga, Volkswagen Tiguan, Ford Puma and Škoda Kodiaq. SUVs account for 58.5% of the Romanian car market, but overall vehicle registrations fell 5.5% year‑on‑year, with a sharper 5.7% decline reported by ACAROM, prompting a rise in second‑hand car sales.
