Dacia unveils second-generation Spring electric vehicle

Dacia has unveiled the second generation of its Spring electric vehicle, marking a significant shift in production from China to Europe. The new model will be manufactured at the Renault Group plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, utilizing the RG-EV Small platform shared with the Renault Twingo E-Tech.

The redesigned Spring is larger and more robust than its predecessor, featuring increased width and a 337-liter trunk capacity. Technical specifications include a 60 kW (80 hp) electric motor producing 175 Nm of torque, paired with a 27.5 kWh LFP battery. This configuration offers a WLTP range of approximately 250 kilometers. Rapid charging capabilities allow the battery to go from 15% to 80% in about 28 minutes via 50 kW DC charging.

In Europe, the vehicle is expected to start at approximately 17,900 euros. While official pricing for markets like Turkey has not been finalized, estimates suggest a starting price of around 1 million to 1.3 million Turkish Lira. Deliveries are anticipated to begin in early 2027.
