Dacia plans affordable Hipster electric car for 2027

Dacia is developing an ultra-compact electric vehicle known as the Hipster, aimed at the urban mobility market. Based on patents and a 2025 concept, the production model is expected to launch in 2027.

The vehicle is designed to be simple, lightweight, and highly affordable, with an estimated price range between 12,000 and 15,000 euros. Despite its small dimensions—approximately 3 meters in length and 1.55 meters in width—the car is intended to accommodate four passengers.

The design is expected to maintain a boxy, pragmatic aesthetic with vertical surfaces and minimal overhangs. While the standard trunk capacity is estimated at 70 liters, it could expand to approximately 500 liters with the rear seats folded down.
