Dacia targets European market with practical vehicle strategy

Dacia is implementing a strategic approach to compete with Chinese automotive brands by focusing on simplicity, functionality, and cost-efficiency for the European market. Frank Marotte, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Operations, stated that the brand aims to provide essential features rather than unnecessary technological additions, catering to a demographic that values practical, long-lasting vehicles.

To maintain competitive pricing, Dacia utilizes Renault Group’s existing platforms and components, which has significantly reduced development times, as seen with the recent Spring model. The brand also continues to emphasize rigorous production cost controls.

In Poland, Dacia has launched the 'Benefit Days' promotion, offering up to a 23% discount on selected Duster and Bigster hybrid 155 models through leasing options with zero down payment. Additionally, the brand has introduced the Striker, a C-segment crossover that combines SUV, estate, and hatchback characteristics, featuring various powertrains including a unique hybrid 4x4 system utilizing both petrol and LPG.
