Dacia and Dongfeng expand automotive offerings in Europe
Automotive manufacturers are expanding their product lineups in European markets. Dacia is introducing the Striker, a crossover designed to balance utility and affordability. The model aims to capture market share from competitors like Skoda and Toyota by offering a practical combination of a station wagon-style body with SUV-inspired elements, featuring a large 600-liter trunk and eco-friendly capabilities.
Dacia is also implementing a strategy to prevent internal brand cannibalization by differentiating its new C-segment models, such as the Bigster and Striker, through distinct applications and designs despite shared technical foundations.
Meanwhile, Dongfeng is growing its presence in Spain by adding two electrified SUVs to its lineup: the Vigo, an all-electric SUV with a 340 km WLTP range, and the Mage PHEV, the brand's first plug-in hybrid for the Spanish market. Reservations for these models are opening in July, with deliveries expected by late August.
