Dacia expands SUV lineup and hybrid options amid market competition

The European automotive market is seeing significant shifts in pricing and technology. Dacia continues to position itself as a budget-friendly leader, offering models like the Sandero starting at approximately 13,590 to 15,950 euros. To combat rising competition from Chinese brands such as BYD and MG, the manufacturer is introducing new models like the Striker and offering incentives on the Duster and Bigster, including lease discounts.

Dacia is also expanding its hybrid capabilities. The new Duster Hybrid-G 150 4x4 features a unique dual-fuel LPG and gasoline system combined with a 48V mild hybrid setup, boasting a range of up to 1,500 km.

In the electric segment, the KGM Musso EV (formerly SsangYong) is emerging as a notable option. Utilizing BYD battery and motor technology, this electric pickup is priced around 40,000 euros, targeting users who need utility with a lower carbon footprint. Meanwhile, market trends show that while new cars under 20,000 euros are becoming rarer, electric options like the Dacia Spring and Renault Twingo are becoming more accessible in that price bracket.
