The speedway team Dackarna from Målilla secured the Swedish Championship (SM) gold after a highly competitive final in Västervik. The match, watched by nearly 9,000 spectators, was decided after two extra heats.

Mikael Karlsson, a local politician in Hultsfred and former team leader for Dackarna, observed the victory. He noted that the team faced early difficulties as Västervik built a lead, but they eventually recovered to win. Karlsson highlighted Tomas H Joansson as a decisive rider whose performance set a high standard for the team.
