Daddy Yankee announces new conceptual album ‘La Postal’

Puerto Rican reggaeton pioneer Daddy Yankee has announced his upcoming conceptual album, ‘La Postal’, scheduled for release on October 30. The project, released under his DY Music label, will feature 15 tracks exploring various forms of love, including romantic, familial, and self-love.

To precede the album, the artist released the lead single ‘BOTZ’ (Bésame Otra Vez). The track, co-written with Keityn and produced by a team including Jeremy Ayala and Xound, blends traditional reggaeton roots with new melodic textures such as keyboards and guitar chords. The accompanying music video, directed by STILLZ, utilizes stop-motion animation.

This musical return follows the artist's previous work, ‘Lamento en baile’, and comes ahead of a major career milestone: the Latin Recording Academy has named him the ‘Persona del Año 2026’. He is expected to be honored during a private gala in Las Vegas on November 11 during Latin Grammy Week.
