Daddy Yankee faces judicial setback in asset dispute with ex-wife
A court in Carolina, Puerto Rico, has denied a request by the legal team of singer Daddy Yankee (Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez) to consolidate multiple legal proceedings regarding the division of assets with his ex-wife, Mireddys González.
Judge Ismael Álvarez Burgos ruled that there are currently no common questions of fact or law sufficient to justify merging the cases into a single file. Consequently, the various legal matters concerning the liquidation of the marital estate will continue to proceed independently.
The dispute involves assets estimated to be worth approximately 500 million dollars. This ruling follows a June decision by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, which rejected a review request related to the couple's marital property. González has previously sought five million dollars in provisional compensation and a monthly allowance during the litigation process.
