DAE President Rogério de França Martins calls for investigation after cash video

Rogério de França Martins, president of the Várzea Grande Water and Sewage Department (DAE), has called for an investigation following the release of a video showing him receiving bundles of cash and a bag appearing to contain more money.

Martins, also known as Rogerinho da Dakar, defended his actions by stating he is a long-time businessman and that the cash represents legitimate commercial transactions. He has offered to waive both his personal and his family's bank and financial secrecy to prove his integrity.

He requested that the Public Ministry and the Court of Accounts audit the DAE's documentation and his personal finances to demonstrate the legality of his work. Martins suggested the video's release might be politically motivated and stated he intends to remain in his position at the DAE.
