Daecheon Beach ranked as South Korea's most searched beach

Daecheon Beach has been ranked as the most searched beach in South Korea for the spring and summer of 2026. According to navigation search data from the Korea Tourism Organization Data Lab analyzed between May and July, Daecheon Beach recorded the highest search volume among all national beaches.

Daecheon Beach secured the top spot with a margin of approximately 20,000 searches over the second-ranked Gwangalli Beach. Other notable beaches following in the rankings included Haeundae Beach, Gyeongpo Beach, and Eurwangni Beach.

Boryeong City attributes this success to the beach's accessibility from the Seoul metropolitan area, its diverse marine leisure contents, and the popularity of the Boryeong Mud Festival. The city plans to strengthen its marine tourism competitiveness by expanding tourism infrastructure and developing differentiated seasonal content to maintain its status as a premier national brand.
