Daedeok-gu introduces AI-powered ‘Care-Look’ tax bills

Daedeok-gu in Daejeon has introduced the ‘Care-Look’ non-tax revenue bill, the first of its kind in the city to utilize artificial intelligence. The new design aims to make payment information clearer and more accessible to residents.

By scanning a QR code on the bill, residents can view AI-generated promotional videos that use music and oil-painting style imagery to convey messages regarding tax payments. The system distinguishes between regular notices, labeled ‘First Notice,’ and delinquency notices, labeled ‘Repeated Notice,’ to help taxpayers easily identify their status.

Additionally, the initiative seeks to protect resident rights by linking those struggling with payments to the district’s revenue protection officers. District Head Kim Chan-sul stated that the new bills are an attempt to deliver administrative information at the level of the residents and provide easier guidance and counseling to improve payment convenience.
